The locksmith the DMV keeps calling back
We are a family-run mobile locksmith based in Greenbelt, Maryland. No storefront, no call centre — just stocked vans, licensed technicians and a phone that gets answered by a person.

Fifteen years, three markets, one phone number
Q 24/7 Lock Service started in 2009doing exactly what we do now: driving to people who are stuck. What changed is the depth. After fifteen years in the same corridor, our technicians have opened enough Baltimore rowhouse mortise locks, Montgomery County townhome deadbolts and Prince George's garden-apartment cylinders that the diagnosis usually happens before the toolbag is open.
That is the whole argument for using a local locksmith instead of whoever ranks highest on a given day. A national lead broker sells your call to a subcontractor who has never seen your street. We are the van, and we have been on your street.
We are licensed and insured, we quote the total before we dispatch, and we open doors without damaging them wherever it is physically possible. Those three things are most of why customers who called us for a lockout in 2015 are the ones calling for a rekey today.

Four rules we do not bend
They are unglamorous. They are also the reason we are still here after fifteen years in a trade with a reputation problem.
The quote comes before the van
You hear the total on the phone. Not a call-out fee with the real number revealed once you are already committed and standing outside your own front door.
Non-destructive entry first
Drilling is a last resort, and we say so before we do it. Most residential lockouts open by picking or bypass with the lock still working afterwards.
Diagnose the door, not just the lock
A lock you have to lift the door to turn is a hinge and strike problem. Replacing the cylinder would sell you hardware and fix nothing.
We tell you when you do not need us
A dead fob battery or a worn key is a cheap fix and we will say so. Losing one invoice to keep a customer for a decade is not a hard trade.

“When we moved into our new place, we called Chaim to rekey the locks. He was quick, professional, and very helpful. He also adjusted the doors, and they now close and lock more smoothly. Highly recommend using Q 24/7.”

“Hay was extremely professional and very courteous. He did an outstanding job replacing 2 locks and re-keying one lock for me. Hay took the time to explain what needed to be done and why. I would absolutely use this company again. And their prices were very reasonable.”

About our company
Still not sure? Call (888) 571-4443 — a real dispatcher will tell you what the job involves before anyone is sent out.
How long have you been in business?
+
Since 2009. Fifteen-plus years working the same three markets — Maryland, Baltimore and Washington DC — which is the reason our arrival estimates are realistic and our technicians recognise the hardware before they get out of the van.
Are your technicians employees or subcontractors?
+
The people who show up are our technicians, in our vans, with identification. That matters more than it sounds: a lot of the locksmith "companies" that advertise online are lead brokers who sell your call to whoever bids, which is where the doorstep price changes come from.
What areas do you actually cover?
+
121 communities across Maryland, Baltimore and Washington DC, dispatched from Greenbelt. If you are outside that we will tell you on the phone rather than send someone an hour away.
What should I check before letting any locksmith work on my door?
+
Ask for a total price before work starts, ask for identification, and expect a marked or identifiable vehicle. Anyone who leads with drilling on a standard residential deadbolt should be turned away — that lock almost certainly opens without damage.

Locked out, or locking something down?
One call reaches a live dispatcher, 24 hours a day. Upfront price before a van moves.
